Well here's the thing, I contacted a news reporter from the Philippines that was able to contact the OFW office (overseas filipino workers), and had kept in touch with me with the latest updates. Yes, the administration and ministry of labor had talked with the owners or the "illegal agency" that kept my sister. Yes, they confirmed with me that it was a long process since that illegal agency was run by the royal family. My sisters agent, had even spoken to me asking for 5k just to give her passport back.

All I know is that her situation sucks. She left 4 of her kids back home in the PI. Her father (my dad), was never there for her obviously and I didn't find out that she existed until last year.

At the same time, there's a language barrier with me and her. I don't understand my native language (tagalog) so when she explains in English, it's hard. Her grammar obviously isn't the best. But, talking to a news reporter has helped me understand the whole situation more clearly.

And at the end of the day, the truth is I live a much better life than she does. She's not with her kids that's a given. And I would love for her to be there for her kids. IF she were to take my money, then f it. She needs it more than I do. I was fortunate to live a life with two parents raising me and having a roof for the past 26 years. That's all that matters for me. To help her out in any way possible.

Read what I wrote carefully. I never said you, or your story, is BS. Merely the way it's told makes one suspicious. And you can't be surprised when people say something about it. You are afterall advertising it here. But yeah, back to the topic at hand.

Well Allow me to just extend it by one more post..as I think people have raised some unfair issues ..Having lived in a third world country when I was young I can tell you that citing the cost of a plane ticket or what the wage is would seem to make sense but it doesn't

There are many countries where the official price of things means squat. You often have to pay your way past unsavory government officials (not high ranking either can be just the clerk at a front desk) and its just a fact that many people end up leaving their country with the dream of making better money only to find themselves stuck with sometimes only two or three people who want to be paid blocking their exit. Shucks some even get caught in straight out slavery.

I had a friend that decided he wanted to get a license he needed fairly and all he did was express that to a clerk and not only did he have to pay they raised the price on him just for expressing the idea and when he objected the price went up - he didnt get the license for many years.

So though I don't put my head on the line for any page on the net I didn't find the link anymore suspicious of BS than any other donations page I have seen. the fact that the link was not even operational to take people's money doesn't say to me scam or BS. GG I woudn't take it too personal though. The doubts expressed are not because of anything you did or anything about you as a person. Its juts the nature of the net and what people have done before unrelated to you. Plus people who have not lived in third world countries really have no sense of how things can work outside of what they are used to.
