Having my Goodle AdSense account disabled was the BEST thing to ever happen!
- SEO |
A few years ago when I first tried my hand at 'Making money Online' I went about it all wrong and failed where many others before me had failed. Did I heed the advice handed out by so many 'good' people? No - I was arrogant, thought I could prove everyone wrong!
I thought that making money online was a quick fix to my financial problems, because that's what I'd heard. I spent months, looking for that magic button, trying to decipher the secrets of how the 'big' players got 'big'.
I had a Google AdSense account, easy money right? Sounded easy - pay for a load of cheap, nasty, micro niche sites, chuck up a load of slightly edited PLR material and hey presto - cash - this way cometh!
Yeah, but it didn't work out like that, my ideas were great, as most ideas are. I broke Google's rules, I knew what I was doing was wrong but I done it anyway, remember ^^ I was arrogant, thought I'd 'cheat' the system when no one else could.
I was bringing in around £500 per month on AdSense alone when I got that dreaded email - "you messed up, son" - basically - "you're fired!"
I threw my sweeties out the pram, most people do, who wouldn't? I was losing my main revenue online at the flick of a switch. But I knew... I knew that it was my fault. I had searched for a quick fix, a magic button and after my AdSense account was disabled, I knew that there was no such thing, at least - not forever.
So after a month of whining and hating the world, I got back up and I learned - this is the important thing - I learned that to really make money online, you have to really work at it and you have to be patient. A patience that not many people have the ability to muster when times are hard and money is not forthcoming.
Losing my AdSense account was the best thing that ever happened to me. From that moment on, I wasn't worrying about getting banned, I wasn't constantly checking stats and refreshing my AdSense dashboard - I'd found the ability to move on and use time to get things right.
A year has now passed and I'm making decent money online each month, up to £3000 on a good month and I'm getting better each month because I know now what it takes to make money online. I don't rely on one company for the bulk of my income - Amazon, Linkshare, JVzoo, KDP, Smashwords, Clickbank etc - I use multiple sources to sustain my online income and there's not a Google click in sight!
I hope that this post goes some way to help those who are struggling to make money online or throw in the towel when they only earn £10 in their first month.
I live and die now by these simple and logical rules to make money online...
- TIME is a friend you should not take advantage of.
- CREATIVITY is a path to success.
- T&Cs are there for a reason - Follow them.
- MULTIPLE Income sources - eggs & basket anyone?
- REPLICATE success with ease.
- PATIENCE really is a virtue.
Anyway, that's my Sunday morning ruse over with... making a living online is very possible but unless you really have found a miracle button, then it will take time to get to where you want to be.
Good luck in your ventures and stop checking those stats!!!
