I have a website with over 100 articles. It is monetized with clickbank and amazon products. It receives decent traffic. Should I monetize it further with adsense ads? Thus far I have not used adsense. My reasoning is that if the reader sees the adsense ads and clicks on it, yes I will make a few cents, but that reader is now taken to a different website and not likely to purchase any of my clickbank or amazon products. Is my reasoning valid?

Adsense on your website; affiliate offer through email (always collect your visitors email). That's the way I found works best. Most people won't even bother clicking on affiliate banners and links, so you get more clicks on AdSense and then you get better conversion for your affiliate offers if you send them directly to every subscriber and make it look like you're recommending the product.

He said he used amazon products as well. I would love to see the data on email doing better conversion for amazon products.

Do you have any content or is it all CB/Amazon squeeze pages?

If your worried about traffic clicking Adsense instead of CB/Amazon you'll either have to get over it or simply don't add Adsense to the page. Doubtful each individual traffic will click all 3 Ads (CB/Amazon/Adsense) so I'm not sure why your concerned about that. If CB & Amazon is already converting why mess with the conversions, build another site for Adsense.

If you are doing good with clickbank and amazon affiliate links , I don't prefer adsense. It will just drive your targeted traffic away for lesser ROI.

I'd say it depends on your niche, some market's just don't have the CPC to make adsense worthwhile. If you're in a higher paying market though adsense can be a great way to make some extra money

      Split test it.

Or just do a full test for a week or two...depending on how much traffic you get. If you test for a week and have high traffic you will have fairly accurate test results, with low traffic the test will not mean much and you need to do a longer test.
