New Site Rank Dropped!

I have a site that is just shy of a month old. It was ranked #13 for a kw. I added additional pages and information. I did not take anything away. Only added to the site.

Well 2-3 days after adding everything the site dropped from #13 to #19. Any ideas why? I heard that sometimes it will do the google dance prior to moving up in ranks.

It's been #19 for two days now. Any suggestions?

  • Try to build quality and relevant backlinks for your site. New site will face this problem of ups and downs in their rankings...

  • It happens normally. Its because your site is going through some changes due to the newly added pages.
  • Your QDF ( Quality Deserves Freshness ) has probably ended that's all. Google always boost new pages in the SERPS higher than they naturally should be.

    To get it back build backlinks.

    • Yes..... When You put your name, it will make your comment look more natural and most moderators will approve such comments quickly and your site will get some help. Also, it shows that you really want to share your views/ideas about the post and you're not just commenting to get a backlink.

  • Don't worry about it. New sites do that. It's called QDF. I have posts/sites that rank on page #1 for a few days then disappear out of the top #100 only to reappear.

  • It is usual for new sites, It is recommended to keep on getting backlinks to your site... do not STOP it....
