About to punch myself in the face......

Ok, so before I resort to something drastic as punching myself in the kisser, I guess I will see if you good ladies and gentlemen of the Warrior Forum can help me out.

A couple months back I decided to split my business into two sections. I broke my web design stuff off all on it's own so it would be more clear. I made a website www.(state)webdesignco.com to compete in Google.

Here is my problem.....the website isn't coming up in Google....most of the time. Let me explain, if I do a search for the website URL, it doesn't come up. It suggests another website. I did some checking and my website doesn't seem indexed or shows up for the three keywords I am trying to get it to rank for.

Oddly enough, it comes up for keywords I have not worked on (position 26). So it seems I am deindexed but for only certain keywords and for my main URL.

Quick details on the site:
Wordpress- Gritoo theme
Some backlinking done as well as social book marks, however nothing extensive.
showing up in Bing (2nd overall)
All in 1 SEO plug in installed
Site map plug in installed

I did have an article on the website that was a duplicate content piece, from when I split from the main website, but once I figured out that the BIG G hates that I took it down.

I have the site set up on web master tools but I only did this once I figured out my site wasn't showing up. Should I try to see if Google will reindex the site, or am I missing something. Could it be the theme? Has someone else used this theme and had no problems?

Any and all help (and baked potato recipes) is wanted and appreciated. Thanks in advance.
