SEO: Subdomains pointing to same site?

Hello,

I was wondering if I could create different subdomains pointing to same Wordpress sites, to talke advantage of the naming in the URL.

Or other case.. I've my site in general.mydomain.com
and I prefer it to be in morespecific.mydomain.com

Do I need to reinstall wordpress and everything in morespecific.mydomain.com
Or can I just point it to /htdocs/general/ ? (I mean SEO speaking)

    If you want your site to show up using a different URL, you will need to move the files to that directory. You shouldn’t have to reinstall WP. Here is a link to more info about moving your wordpress site.
