Using Article Submission Sites to Promote Your Blog

Can anyone tell me if using article submission sites is still a good way to promote your blog? This is what I have heard.

1) It is bad for SEO if you are submitting duplicate content
2) It is better to focus on creating quality content for your own site

    Article submissions are really helpful if they are being submitted on high PR article directories and above all the content must be really unique. Then the article submissions are worthful

    Yes, article sites are still quite helpful in SEO. However, you should not submit one article on more than a 15 sites. Those 15 submission should be done in 24 hours only.

    I don't give much attention to article directories sites, after the birth of Google Panda. Since then I hardly notice any article from EnzineArticles or other article directories is ranking on first page of Google.

    Instead I focus on publishing my articles on web 2.0 sites and then do proper link building and promotion so that it can rank higher on search engines and can deliver quality referral to my money site.

    Note: Quality of content matters most, so you must use useful, informative and unique content.

      Agree on Web 2.0 sites. I prefer and always will want unique, quality content for my site. Honestly, it annoys me when someone is asking me to spin an article. Why should I? I am willing to spend hours just to come up with excellent content. Quality makes me feel happy and satisfied.

    It is really good if you create unique and quality content. It is bad if you have duplicate content! In general, before submitting on article directory sites, you should have quality articles to attract readers. Your websites will be viewed more and more.
