Is your bounce rate below 35%?

If it is can you share what you did to get it below the 35% mark and if not do you think it would make a difference to your site if it was below 35% after all the Panda updates

    The bounce rate on my site is 4.35% So extremely low. But I don't push any crap traffic at my site or anything like that. Anyone who discovers it typically visits over 2 pages etc.

    Will Google ding you for being over 35%? Maybe, but there are a lot of factors that are taken into account to rank your site. If I were going to guess if bounce rate was one of the top 3 ranking factors - my guess would be "No".

      I agree with you.

      No doubt bounce rate affects our ranking but not as whole..

      it will affect like this

      you rank "keyword 1" = 5 (bounce rate is 75%)
      your competitor ranks "Keyword 1" = 6 (bounce rate 50%)

      than most probably you will go at number 6...

      similarly CTR, time on site.. all these factors have low impacts on our rankings......

      ==========

      I saw some websites which have 75% bounce rate but still they are on first page for plenty of keywords.. Especially coupons sites, ecommerce stores.... Information sites etc....
