Blog Posting Question

If I owned a computer repair company. But got tired of writing weekly blog entries about computers, would it affect the website if I started writing about an xbox 360 game instead?

Again, theoretical only. Trying to get some new ideas.

I see no reason that would be bad for a site about computers, unless those posts about the xbox has lots of sold links or pure affiliates.

My only concern is that apparently:"Relevance is Key" I've been told repeatedly.

The problem is that I could write more interesting content on another topic than my main one, which would probably bring slightly more traffic at the cost of relevance.

True but that term refers to something more like to a blog about computers suddenly posting about life insurance or dog food.
