CTR and ads selection by Google

Hello.

I have adsense in my website in 3 positions. 1 in post's text an 2 others in left and right sidebars

I am thining...
The ads in posts are by far more clickable.
If I remove the other 2 advertisement spaces, I will have better CTR.
Does this affect the choice of ads Google is showing in my website?

    How do you know this will lead to more money?

    CTR can have nothing to do with the total you
    make.

    If you think putting one lousy ad on a page is going
    to increase CTR, you are sadly mistaken.

    You are now shutting out many advertisers.

    Better results are more cash, not clicks.

    I would have one on top, one in article, one at the
    end.

    One variation is one in sidebar, one in article, one
    at the bottom.

    But, as always, I'm just giving you my take. Test the
    one ad if you wish, but let it ride for at least 2 weeks
    before making any conclusions.

  • The best thing to do is to split test, but I can tell you from experience the more ads and the better placement that you have the higher your CTR is going to be.

    • Test it. But while less ads puts the higher paying advertisers first, more ads is higher CTR.
