Why google does not show my backlinks

Why google does not show my backlinks? I have created many backlinks in forums and blogs but when I type in google "link:mywebsite" it shows
"Your search - link:mywebsite URL - did not match any documents.".. Does any body know that How google will show my backlinks???

Google has always shown an extremely small number of your backlinks. Unless you have thousands of backlinks that have been around for a while, Google isn't going to show you anything.

Use Majestic SEO : Backlink Checker & Site Explorer and Ahrefs Site Explorer to view your backlinks.

Note that there is no tool out there that will show you 100% of your backlinks.

Google only shows the domains and pages where you have a lot of links. Domains or pages having one two links will not be displayed in Google webmaster tools.

Agree with UMS.. Google doesn't show backlinks. if you have 10,000 backlinks then google might show around 200 backlinks. (Just an idea)

Even if google crawl your backlinks.... such as you could search forum backlinks by searching for post title, profile name etc.. but with your site no way.......

I've found the only site that truly shows the NUMBER of backlinks is woorank.com

You should try
Majestic/ hrefs / Moz to check back link
You should know,some link are crawled in a week, but some are not in a month even.
