Meta Title and Descriptin Tag and Meta Property Title and Description in WP SEO Plugin

Hello,
I use the WP SEO Plugin by Yoast.
I discovered in the source code that all my posts have a meta title tag and a meta description tag. These both are in the Plugin part of the source code.
But I also see a meta property title and a meta property description in this part having the same text in it.
To make it more clear, you can take a look at the screenshot.
I was told that the property tags are used for social sharing options.
But I don't know if this is true.
Will these tags not be seen as duplicated tags?
Now the meta description text is exactly the same as the meta property description text. Under the Social Tab in the WP SEO Plugin under every post I can write a different description text for Facebook and Google Plus.
Should it be better to create here two unique description to avoid duplicate content.
I hope you want to help me with these topics, because I see many questions regarding this plugin online, but no clear answers.
