What's a decent first bid? Adwords autoset it to $2.68

    there are a lot of factors... but if the QS on the keywords is god enough u may be able to get all the way down to 40-50 cents (although it varies from one campaign to another) and you will still rank as high... look at the actual CPC (if the campaignn has been running for sometime) and you will get an idea...

      Avg CPCs vary quite a bit across industries, so it's hard to say. However, I'd probably opt for Manual as opposed to Automated bidding, and set your own bids...I'd start at $1.00 Max CPC and bid down if you're using all your budget and bid up if you need more impressions and clicks.

        You have to realize that that google sometimes sets
        a minimum price.

        You can only go down so far. And then again, maybe you
        can't.

        $1 bid might not get you on any page.

        Your QS will affect this as well. The higher your QS, the
        less you will have to bid.
