i have written a few articles related to my website, that i want to post and use as links to my website, however these were intended to be used for my "how-to" section of my website, is this advised as they would no longer be unique articles if they are aleady published on my site or am i missing the point? sorry for such a newb question i'm trying not to make a mess of this

As for link structuring the articles i have 2/3 links per article that relate back to my website, one to the home page and one other to another page, also included a few other external links to make it look natural.

and which sites should i be submitting my articles too, all of them i can find, or just a select few say 5 and change it up each article, to keep google guessing?

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Three link should be fine if the article is long enough. I wouldn't re-publish duplicate content, they will get sandboxed.

Sounds like you have a good strategy though. Keep up the good work

In a web 2.0 you use a 3 links one is body part and 2 is author bio so this is best way to promotion and also not a spam for our content...

Web2.0 sites don't have an author's bio. They are a hosted blogs.

Web 2.0 sites are sites where people can interact such as a blog, social bookmarking sites, forums etc, as opposed to a site where you can just read content like a press release.

The articles you submit to other sites should be different than the ones you are going to post on your own site.

The links allowed depend on where you are going to submit them to. I would not include any external links. Make sure you vary the anchor text you use that links back to your site in each article

    Good places to post are:
    Tumblr
    posterous.com/
    Squidoo : Welcome to Squidoo
    www. weebly.com/

    There are many others.

    Good luck

    Hi,

they are all written by hand, i don't really agree with article spinning, changing it all around to make it look different! just leads to lots of repetitive spam!

    Thanks for your reply

You can post the same content on all your Web 2.0s. This is called Content Syndication and all the big boys are do it however Squidoo are making a change to their ToS from April 1st where they won't accept duplicate content, even if you are the author.

I believe Hubpages already operates in this manner.

Web 2.0 sites in SEO refer to sites where people are able to interact with each other such as in blog commenting and forum posting sites. Press Release, however, provides authentic information in a readable format only.

To your question related to article submission, firstly, I would suggest you to keep 3 links provided your article is of a substantial length of at least 400 words. The anchor text of each link must vary. Most importantly, you cannot reproduce the same content in your article as seen in your website itself. The content must vary. I would suggest you to either write fresh content or spin your articles and add a few new points here and there such that you are left with fresh and unique articles ready to be submitted.

Article submission relies more on the quality of the matter produced rather than the quantity of articles. This means that 4-5 UNIQUE articles which are remarkably written would be more than enough to give your site quality back links in comparison to 40 poorly written articles (which by the way, could lead your site and its traffic into devastation).

Note: don't include any external links in your articles.

Building links with unique and content is always the best thing to do to avoid your site from being penalized for duplicate content. Web 2.0s can make your unique content viral and you can get a good amount of direct traffic. Also, I wouldn't put too many links in an article to avoid footprint.
