Google Suddenly Not Indexing New Content - Any Ideas?

Hi everyone,

First of all - I've been a fan for a while, but just recently a member.

I've noticed Google has slowed down significantly indexing my website. I have a number of new posts that aren't being indexed, and even after submitting a sitemap - Google won't index certain pages of my Wordpress site.

About a week ago, anything I posted was indexed the next day and was usually very high ranking. Now it's all changed.

I've checked the ins and outs of my site to make sure I don't have some strange problem, but I can't find anything.

I've noticed many of my competition websites are coming up within hours or posting new content, and I'm nowhere to be found. I even tried submitted a sitemap to Google, and it took 2 days for them to process - and even still they didn't index the important new pages, only the less important stuff.

Here is an example page I'm trying to have Google index: AVASoft Antivirus Professional Virus (Step by Step Removal Guide)

My concerns:
- Is it because I use the same removal guide template for most of my guides? (Not enough unique content) I try to post as much information at the top of each virus removal guide as possible.
- Is it because I'm using affiliate links for virus removal tools/software?

Maybe it's just a glitch? Maybe I need to open a beer and calm down

    Hi dan,

I've noticed that too with one of my sites and I really panicked as all was well and then all of a sudden no indexing. I could not find anything wrong with the site and I even posted here on the SEO forum. I got some suggestions used them but nothing helped.

Today I noticed that indexing is back and my pages are indexed now. Just wait a week or so, most likely it will get back to normal. Just open a beer and calm down.

Thanks for the response! I'm sure it will pass. I haven't done anything but post quality content and develop links through the media.

      Thanks again!

When you post an article to your website just submit the link here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url

This will usually get pages indexed within a few hours or 24 hours.

I know how you feel! The exact same thing happened to me last weekend and I actually posted here about it. It took quite a few days, but eventually my missing page was indexed. I did lose a bit of sleep over it at the time, but I won't anymore.

Sometimes it takes time to get your page indexed. There's nothing to be sad or angry about. It will happen eventually....

You use wp right? I have had the same issue with certain changes a.d updates also. There should be a setting that tells them how often to crawl somewhere in there. If you are relying on jerpack to do this... I have had nothing but problems with it and switched to a performance plugin with sitemaps in them. My main site went from 30 indexed pages to over 10000 within an hour of changing the crawl settings.

My site also facing same problem now. Google usually indexed my site within 3 days, but my latest post which was published last week is not indexed by google (already 8 days). Any action need to take or just keep waiting? Please advice.
    Thanks.

My new post was indexed by google it's take about 9 days. We have to be patient to wait, beside that, I think publish another new post is one of the solution. Good luck.

Well by looking at all the spam links you have and low quality content, this doesn't seem to be a site that should be ranking well anyway. Website looks like it was designed in 2001 and its keyword stuffed badly.
