adsense new account earnings

I had created new adsense account last week for one of my client.

There have been more than 1000 impressions and 20+ clicks but no earnings are reported in the dashboard.

Does it take that long for earnings to show?

No, it doesn't. Those are obviously invalid clicks.

It takes 10-15 minutes for reports to update and the earning estimate usually shows right away with the clicks. Those 20+ clicks came from you clicking on the links.

I think so, they are not the actual clicks..

May be link-clicks but not ads-click
or invalid click, or clicked on same IP address etc.

yes, they may be link click no ad click.
and when it comes to invalid click that adsense decided 1st week of month.
