Ok so I started a company and website with the name of the company.
Not a great URL for a seo. But once word gets out they will search for the name.

Now I just bought a great URL great keyword and one that is 1 letter off only competitor its also a keyword seo.

Now I know I can set tags and titles to just use the 2 new urls to redirect?
But would that really help in rankings?

Or would it be better to have 3 separate sites?

Thanks
Ashley

A keyword in your domain name surelly helps a bit but you should better focus on your on-site structure and quality/strong backlinks.

Even if you buy an EMD you would still need create backlinks on it to see some effects.

Just redirecting a keyword focused domain won't have any effect on your rankings. I'd stick with one site and focus on establishing it before you start looking at multiple sites.

those days gone when you redirect focused keyword domain to your site and blast them with xumer/scrapbox to get redirected+Keyword rich link juice.

Now all you need is great powered backlinks to your site.

Try out Web 2.0's, private network post that helps a lot.

You can hire a guy to make high quality web 2.0 or simply outsource from odesk who make HIGH QUALITY web 2.0 with original content on each web 2.0 site.

for private network you have to find guy who own private blog network, pay me small bucks and you are good to go!

No redirect using two urls, just use one url with relevant company name, this way you would focus more on this and you would produce quality works.

If I'm all things doing with quality then why should do one wrong thing or it is doubtful in SEO?

I don't exactly get what you want but if you want to go with 2 domains, just go with 1. Not too much but Quality Web 2.0s can help, NEVER buy private network posts, that is like telling Google to slap your site in a few months LOL! Keep it look natural, get quality links. Building your own private network works if its quality and not spammy, but costs a lot of money. Get backlinks from relevant sites (guest blogging) and you can create some high PR blog comment backlinks as well, just don't overdo them.

Try to make some strong backlinks, but this it's nothing to have the url name of keyword. I work hardly to be on top of my domain name but it's not easy.

I'd add the keyword domain to a small niche-focused network. When it's up and indexed, you can link it to your branded site.
