As I understand it, to promote a website/webpage, you post links to sites like FB, pinterest, squidoo, EZines (which is your favorite?), twitter, forums, etc. Does Google care if all these links originate from the same IP address?

    The IP address is not based on the person who submitted it...it's the actual site's IP address.

    As for do's and dont's.
    Do: Put you links places real, live, people will see them.
    Do: Place them on relevant sites.
    Don't: Blast your links to god knows where.

    Remember, in the end it's all about PEOPLE. Place links where people actually go and the search engines will follow suit.
