Site Name

I want to create a website that helps people with a certain problem. Then sell them an ebook that helps them fix it. We'll say that problem is Gout. (that's not the real problem)
Would naming the site after my keywords be best? Say?: ivegotgoutnowwhat.com
Or whattodoaboutgout.com
Or should I go about it some other way?
Thanks for any help!

  • include your keyword on your URL is a good idea. But i suggest to indicate first your keyword before other words..
  • i agree. its pretty easy to optimize it that way
  • Your main keywords should be included in the domain name with the most important ones at the front. However, you do not want to have a really long domain name.
  • It is good to have keywords in your name. In addition to domain name, if you are targeting any particular region, then go for country's TLD but .com doesn't hurt either.

    • Ok. Thanks for the advice. Gout is my main keyword. So it would be better to have say....
goutguide.com or goutactionplan.com than the others I listed...

      Thanks all
  • I think u need some more time to decide a name for ur website...select the phrase or words which are attractive as well as they are easily remind by the people at the time of revisitinng the site..

    • Hi IMDREW,

I recommend that you do a little research to find out what keyword phrase people most often use in searches related to your topic and then register that exact phrase as your domain name.

If "gout information" gets 60,000 searches per month and "gout advice" gets only 800 searches per month then the best choice will be obvious.

  • Hi IMDREW,

As far as naming your domain, there are two things you want to be aware.

The first important point is to put you're the main keyword you want to optimize in your domain name.

The other thing is if possible try to make the name easy to remember.
