Do Related Posts hurt rankings ?

I have been testing a few different things on my site and just wanted to ask if this is bad for rankings for those that have done extensive testing.

I have a category called lets say shoes and it has 10 posts .

Under all of the articles below the content I have related articles
with lets say Nike Shoes Adidas Shoes and another 8 posts from the same category would this hurt the rankings or pass relevancy ?

  • ..and parting that your anchor text is the same every single day, it'll hurt. Assuming you're using for sake of example, 20% or much less related anchor text or your keyword anchor text, my testing says you'll be alright. Small baby steps, just don't over do it. Parting from what I understood from your reply of course.

    • Sorry I rushed to write this post. I have categories that are rather big but I use diverse anchors on all the posts so if one has nike shoes adidas shoes so on the other one will have Sneakers by nike Nike sneakers etc

  • I think they are OK. It will not hurt your ranking.

  • I think it will not hurt your rankings, but it's better to not use sometimes shoes, adidas ect on your anchors.
  • According to me they don't hurt your rankings. Though we never know gopogle may change the algorithms. Best thing yo do is to always stay up to date

  • I dont think that should hurt rankings..almost everyone uses related posts..
