How do you know about the changes in SEO? may be signed by any credible news or conduct experiments in this area on their own sites? If the latter, how should understand that this is not a coincidence, but really change the algorithm in the search engines?

Share. I want to have accurate information and always be aware.

Thank you!

Here are my questions: how to know that yesterday's SEO techniques are relevant today? what new techniques will be relevant tomorrow?

Or just own experiments can be trusted?

  • Spandr,

Subscribing to industry blogs is always a good way to stay up to date. Two that I would recommend are the Google blog that lists updates they make to their algorithm and SEOMoz.

It would also be wise to follow industry leaders in SEO to help guide you to good information on the subject. Keep up to date on industry news by reading the blogs and following the social media accounts of industry leaders. SEOMoz is a good one along with @randfish – Rand Fishkin the organization’s founder. Another good resource is SearchEngineLand.com and you could follow @DannySullivan – Danny Sullivan, the website’s Editor. Matt Cutts -- @mattcutts who is head of the webspam team at Google is another great resource.

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

    Hi Spandr,

Search Engine Land and SEO Roundtable provide reliable and timely information with regard to algorithm updates. In addition to industry leaders Shawn has referred to, I would recommend following Barry Schwartz @rustybrick who is another great expert on Google updates. Reading internet marketing and SEO forums and authority blogs is also a way to keep yourself posted with the latest news. You can subscribe to SEO by the the Sea and Bruce Clay blog, just to start with.

You can keep yourself updated by reading some SEO-related sites, blogs and forums. Google Webmaster Central, Searchengineland, and SEOmoz are one of the best resources when it comes to SEO news and updates. It’s also ideal to have your own case study to test what techniques work for you and what’s not. Most people have different strategies but still they’re able to succeed. By doing your own experiment, you’ll be learning a lot along the way.
