Redirecting a URL to a Clickbank Product....bad for SEO?

I have a fitness website I've been working hard on for the past several months, adding content, backlinks, etc. and am finally starting to rank in the search engines somewhat decently.

My question is this......if I were to redirect my website to a Clickbank affiliate product for say......a month or so.......would this hurt my rankings with Google and other search engines?

I've heard a lot of people say that this is a great way to make money with Clickbank, but if my traffic starts going down then what's the point?

I appreciate your feedback.

I wouldn't redirect the site to a CB product sales page. Use the page you are ranking for to capture leads (give away a good freebie - PLR or MRR product) - build a relationship with your list and sell various products.

Already doing that but thanks for the advice. Do you really think it would be SEO if I simply redirected my site to a clickbank product though? Would google still index the other content on my site?

Odds are you'll end up getting hosed considering most CB squeeze pages are built to capture leads, instead of making affiliate sales.

When I was promoting CB what I did was create my own sales page on my own site, then all buyer traffic was sent from my affiliate sales page directly to the CB checkout page. My traffic never seen any of the CB vendor squeeze pages.

Google on how to setup the affiliate link & still set the cookie.
