Yes. You have been hit by the latest update by google. They are going after thin affiliate websites with no or very little original content. Your backlink profile looks pretty bad also. The highest referring domain link wise is this forum which has nothing to do with bedding?

What theme are you using? I want to give it a try.

        Hello,

Yes your site could be categorized as just a thin affiliate site. The latest Google update in fact almost 'devalues' homepages vs sub-pages from ranking high in the search results. This is because Google needs to reduce thin homepage spam, however this has nothing to do with content, but your link quality towards your homepage. I've already tested the Google content myth needed for SEO to rank for a keyword, and content plays a very little role in this, as content can be easily abused.

What I would do is work on building pages and sub-pages and instead rank those for keywords by building backlinks to the sub-pages, rather than the homepage. Google have seemed to increase the value of sub-pages, especially for authority sites.

          Hey,

I actually wasn't saying in my post that content is needed to rank a site, but the latest update slightly favors sub-pages vs homepages. BUT, the OP has very poor quality links linking towards his homepage, thus is the reason why he doesn't rank well.

Here is a portion of my original comment:

I completely agree with backlinking a blank page, and getting page 1 results, in fact, I've been doing this for years, and still am.

Place it next to amazons same listing about the product . They offer 100 times better content , reviews more photos , specs and a ton of other things. Its the theme thats nice nothing more. I don't want to be harsh but its not worth ranking and if I where to find a product listing in the serps I would instantly press the back button.

Just checked out your sites, and from my own experience running affiliate sites I would definitely suggested you complement your affiliate links and pages, with blog posts and articles relevant to your topic. A site like this cannot survive in the long term - you need to set yourself apart and provided added value, not just affiliate links.

Add a blog section and add article on a weekly basis... things like:
    - How to choose the right bedding
    - How to get rid of bed bugs
    - Actual product review of ABC bedding company
... the list goes on, endless ideas you can make use of!

Plus, get backlinks from relevant sites!!

    Hope this helps!

I agree with all that Sarah said and will add that having actual unique and helpful product reviews will give your site value and a reason for someone to want to visit it. Regardless of whether or not it being a factor in your rankings, if there is nothing to your site then you won't get sales. Add quality content to your homepage, category pages (I see you have a description for some of them already) and the product pages.

Without taking a look at your site, I can say you have an over optimized anchor text.

What type of link did you send to your site?

    No.

But it lacks content and thus onsite SEO is very limited. All you can do is make it more authoritative, add quality optimized content and then concentrate on quality backlinks from high PR websites and proper offsite SEO and traffic strategies.

Ok somebody is going to have to be the bad guy: Yes, it's a thin site. Basically a list of products on a page. No need for Shakespeare but yes you should have some content on that front page.

Re: ranking a blank page with only links... if your site has links and my site has links but you have no content I win. If you are ranking a blank page then your competition is asleep or non-existent. All things may be possible in SEO but not all things (keywords) are lucrative.

I just now looked at the site.

Seriously, you don't see anything wrong?

You've scraped a bare bones product description from Amazon. Why does the world need your site when your site is a simplified version of an Amazon Category?

Your entire site is a doorway page/s.

The site doesn't look bad, it just has nothing to offer that I can't get directly from Amazon. Actually without even looking I'm sure I could get more product info. If I visited Amazon instead of your site.

Here's your entire content for a single page on your site:

    Product Description

This is a twin size comforter measures by 66″ X 86″.It is Soft, Warm and comfortable. It is made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester fabric. It is machine washable and not recommended for the use of children under 3 years.

@ The OP. If you do not think theres is anything wrong with your site why come here and ask for advice? Seriously..... I could pick the same products you are selling, make a better site and out rank you in days! If anyone could just cut and paste/scrape content from amazon and be on the first page of google we would all be rich. It is not 2005 things have changed.. either change also or don't thats up to you.
