Website Indexed But Not Ranking?!

I have a new website about 2 weeks old, all pages and posts indexed by google, xml sitemap setup and some back-linking done as well. Any reason for the site to not be ranking for very low competition keywords? Is this normal for a new site?

It can take longer than two weeks before ranking your site on Google. Some have ranked in three to four weeks so hang in there. Do some research on how long it might take to rank a site and it might give you a good idea of how long it takes. I would say it depends on your niche also, it it's a popular niche, it will rank quicker than something that doesn't attract much attention.

One test that was done with the IM niche took a little more than three weeks to rank a brand new url, so hang in there a few more weeks and you should see something. At first, you might rank on page 40 or 50.... or worse. But if the site offers good content, you will see results. It looks good. Make sure to write your own content and curate the content that you share. That will also help. Good luck!

Give it a bit more time, it should rank. Make sure you are using google webmaster tools to see if there are any errors, etc.

2 weeks old isn't enough. So its completely normal. Give it a little more time and don't stop finding way optimizing your pages.

Another reason might be that your content is copy pasted from other sites or PLR rewrites, just checked one review article on copyscape and it returned 120 matches?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I saw a similar thing on one of my sites I found out after searching and optimizing backlinks etc. It still did not rank as it should even with no copy past articles no adsense ads in fact no any ads at all. then I changed the theme to the WordPress standard theme and boom it was ranked page 3 2 days after.

You might try as often in the free themes there are footer links and google dont like them so it will not rank the sites.

I would get rid of the rip off you have of the AMAZONâ„¢ LOGO. You know what I'm talking about and that can get you into some serious ****.

This is normal. Google may Sandbox new sites to prevent webmasters from gaming search engine results. The important thing is to build you quality authoritative backlinks slowly but consistently.

I would add more content to the page like videos, images, and a longer article if possible, all of my new sites tend to rank very quickly if the keyword isn't that competitive, unless your keyword is really tough, you should rank fast for a new website, assuming your content is good.
