These days Squidoo made all the outgoing links as "NOFOLLOW" - so no link juice from a good PR site. I know, it is easier and quicker to build up PR for a Squidoo lens and getting a nice dofollow link for a website is really great and it was helpful.

But now the things changed... What would you recommend to build up a mini-site and improve PR easily and quickly and then get a link from that page? What would be your option?
Webs.com
Weebly.com
Blogger.com
Wordpress.com
Any other?

Not only Squidoo, there are a lot of dofollow web 2.0 sites for backlining. You can search the list on this forum. You can build backlinks from them toward to your targeted site.

I know that mate, Let me explain my question in detail :

To which of the below site we can easily and quickly improve PR?
      abc123.blogspot.com
      abc123.webs.com
      abc123.wordpress.com
      abc123.webnode.com
      or any other?

I want to IMPROVE PR of my web 2.0 site and then get a link from that site to money site - This was possible on Squidoo, as it is easy and quicker to get good PR for Squidoo lenses.

Back to the drawing board. Why not give all a chance. Create a [free] blog network and make links back to your site, as well as links within the network. Try to rank the blogs for some of the words you are trying to rank your site for. This way the linkjuice will be even 'sweeter'.

I don't think that losing Squidoo's do follow backlinks is that much of a deal. If you are able to create a quality lens, bring some traffic to it (I bring traffic by liking lenses in my own niche; usually gets me 1/2 the number of likes I gave and a higher rank in Squidoo), then linking back to your site will also generate targeted traffic as well.

It's all about finding the positives from the situation.

Guest posting, buying quality relevant links. How about weebly, are their backlinks NF?

Now I'm not using Squidoo, but I'm using HubPages.

One thing you can notice that blogspot.com is also ranking good so this is really good for ranking keywords..

I don't bother about SERP, but I worry about PR to my mini-sites/blogs that are created using web 2.0 sites..
