Any way out of Google's sandbox?

I have a site that's getting good traffic for a 3 month old site (from all my hard work), but NEVER appears in any search for ANY keyword. What's strange is during the first 2 or 3 weeks I had my site is I was on page 1 in the #4 position on Yahoo and Bing (but never anywhere on Google). Then, my position went away from these two SE's and I'm nowhere to be found on those now either. All SE's will return a list of my pages if you directly search the main site url though, so they're obviously indexed.

I know someone is going to tell me not to worry about Google and just focus on my own active work on generating my own traffic. Fine. I get that. I'd just like to know if anyone has any suggestions of anything I can do to also get organic search traffic. What causes Google to let a site out of the sandbox?

Do you happen to have your site on Google Webmaster tools?

That will show you a bunch of information about your site - including if it's been "sandboxed"

Thanks to both of you. I was actually in the process of submitting my sitemap when you both mentioned webmaster tools. It shows 24 pages submitted.

Under Indexed it says "Pending". I always thought you were indexed if you showed up in the search engine when typing in your url. Is that true?

It will take a few hours before Webmaster Tools goes through your sitemap.

It might be best to just check back tomorrow after everything has been "analyzed."
