Are there tools that will help find keywords with search data in a niche?

For example, if my niche is fishing, I'd like to know all of the keywords related to fishing and how many searches they have.

Thanks.

    google adwords keyword search tool is what I always use

    Google Adwords

    Note: The competition is not the level of how many sites there are but the competition from advertisers offering bids for that particular search

    I use the adwords keyword tool too. I thought there might be something better out there. But maybe not.

      Trust me, I thought the same until I realized I wasn't utilizing the tool to it's maximum capabilities. Make sure [exact] is is activated on the left side. Set the search preferences to local searches and CPC activated and you're set.

    I find Google Adwords as an important tool for keywords research. Effective use of adwords will help a lot in getting more sales with lower costs.

    Indeed, Google Keyword Tool is the #1 method for finding relevant keywords, but very often using alternative mechanisms of keyword research results in coming up with less obvious yet profitable keywords. Some of these methods are:

    *Competition research (words from meta tags of competing websites can be a clue, as well as titles, URLs and other on-page elements);

    *Google Analytics (Traffic Sources -> Search Engine Optimization -> Queries section lets utilizing keywords that already drove traffic from search engines);

    *Google, Bing and Yahoo Related Searches;

    *Google, Bing and Yahoo suggestions from the search box;

    *Independent tools – SEMRush, Keyword Discovery, WordTracker, Ubersuggest.

    As for the question

The latter is calculated as competition to number of searches ratio and lets picking up the most promising keywords to optimize your site for.
