New (old) Content

I have an affiliate site that was performing well before being slapped down by Google for poor linking practises a few months ago.
Would it be ok to lift the content off this site and onto a new domain and then delete/block the old site.
The content is high quality and ranked quite highly before the linking I did.
Cheers

  • Anyone help here?
    Thanks.
  • Yes, you can use the content of your old site to new site, but create new site when your content is removed from Google index.
  • Thanks for the reply.
Do you have experience of doing this yourself, just wondering how long it takes for the content to be removed from the index.
    Thanks again.

    • Add your site to googel webmaster tools and then request "URL removal"... After that it should take no more than a week.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Here's what you do:

    1. Save all the content on your hard drive.

    2. Delete the content from the site...wait for Google to remove it from the index

    3. Repost the content on a new site

I wouldn't recommend adding anything to GWT. Just play it cool.

There's some people that think Google has a historic index of every page ever...which is possible. So it's possible that reposting the content on a new site won't fool them.

But IMHO, if it's not in their index, it's OK to use.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
