Question regarding searching and maybe someone can help clarify this. Im trying to figure how to achieve the same results.
Doing all of this I am not signed in any google account.

On a smartphone you have Google Local.
Im not signed in any google account. In local I can set my location. I do city, state, zip.
After that I search for what I want.

I want to achive the same results on my pc to be able to track a few things.
Now on my pc I cant find local, so im quessing it is Google maps????
I enter city, state, zip and then what im searching for.

The results between the two are way different. I mean you see some of the same listing but in a far different order.

Im sure im not using the correct thing. Having to consintly sign out on my phone to check things is far too long a process versus doing on a pc.

So my question is this:
How on a pc can I simulate the results I get when using Google Local on a smart phone?

It is not possible to see the same set of results in the same order from one device to another. In fact, if you do a search on Google dot com on different browsers from the same PC, you will see the results are different in terms of listings and the order of listings.

Also, data is drawn from different data centers and at a given point of time, it will not be identical on different devices.

Now Google + Local is taking over from Google Places Local. It is being upgraded to a new interface. Considering all these things, these should account for the differences you see in search listings.
