What to do when the EMD is taken?

I am planning to create a very focused website that is intended to rank for only a single keyword and a few closely related secondary keywords.

The keyword is two words and all of the EMD's for .com, .org, .net, and even .info are taken.

They are also all taken with a single hyphen between the two words.

I know that domain extension is not highly important for general SEO purposes, but I still don't want to use a country-specific domain extension as that can effect SEO. Using a bad domain extension also might prevent visitors from clicking on my link in the SERP's if it sounds like something weird (since most people are accustomed to .com's and such).

What to do? I would prefer to not use modifiers like "best" in front or behind the keyword in the domain name.
