On page vs Off page SEO

What is more important to do to bring more targeted traffic to my website. On page or off page SEO? Should i put more effort into building backlinks or more content?

    There is no comparison of onpage vs offpage.

    Its both VERY important. Without onpage there is no organic traffic, without offpage same.

    It need to be a 50/50 partition.

    For "targeted traffic" as you asked, the "onpage" may be better, because you can define with your metas, which targets you want. But as I already said, you wont get far without offpage.

    You need to focus on making both of these good however if you were only able to focus on one, you should pay attention to your on-page SEO. Having well optimized pages is crucial because how else is a search engine supposed to serve a page to its user’s if it isn’t relevant or easy to crawl. Also, you should also be focusing on other on-site tasks like making your pages load quickly and other UX improvements. Off-site stuff is important too however the two tasks competent each other. If one is poor the other will not be as effective.

    As far as targeting, both are also important for that. You should always have your target market in mind while optimizing both on and off site.

    Both like parent which one do you love the most, mother or father?
    If parents are important for our life, Onpage & Offstage are also crucial for website's lives.

    The thing is some sites doesn't need to optimize Onpage daily. Once we optimize Onpage, there's more to do with Offpage.

    I can not compare them because they are like my heart and veins for my websites!
