Adsense Threshold Question...

Just wondering, if your account gets disabled/banned would you still receive finalized earnings or would you just lose everything? I'm a bit confused between the difference of being disabled and banned. Can anyone clarify this as well?

Just as an example, let's say you made $200 in the month of January (which doesn't get paid out until the end of February I believe) and you made $250 in the month of February (which also doesn't get paid until the end of March). So, if your finalized earnings in January was $200 but got banned in the middle of February, would you still receive January's payments?

I've never been banned but I kinda doubt they'll send you anymore payments after a ban happens.

    • Yeah, but I hear when they just disable your account you just simply get placed into lower-paying ad tiers. I'm actually not sure what happens at all when you get banned. I figured that if you just get disabled, you can still earn but if you get banned you lose access to creating/using your ads? It'd be useful if somebody who actually did get banned before explain how it works.

But as for whether or not they'd still pay you, it's completely logical that they would no longer pay for the current month due to the fact you got banned. But I was wondering, shouldn't they pay you for what they already owe you or do they just go "screw it"?

  • If you got banned all of your remaining money would be lost. It's for with Adsense, there are many people hate adsense because of the banning situation.

They might investigate the reasons for months so that there is no more money in your account that they owe you if you got banned.

For the god sake, you just try to contact them for clarification. But, I mostly you'll fail against them.

    • Ah, so regardless of how much I made, whenever I get banned I would still lose all owed payments.

      Well, that sucks...

  • I'm not going to lose any sleep over getting banned, but it would definitely be a hit to my morale if I did is all

I'm making roughly $15-20/day with a combination of organic/paid traffic with Adsense and I'm pretty happy with it, but it would be sad to lose my earnings as a beginning IM-er is all.

The way I see it, as long as I have targeted traffic, I'll still have money, even If Adsense isn't in the picture. There's plenty of sites out there that will buy niche traffic. The more popular the niche, the easier it would be to sell traffic. That's why I tell people not to waste their money on Adsense ebooks, etc..., the money is in the targeted traffic, anyone can copy/paste Adsense code, the rest is tweaking Ad layout/colors/etc...
  • I agree. Even though Google is weird in Adsense, I still make use of it for my income daily and cash out as soon as I reach minimum payment as said. The reasons behind it is like the population, the people die everyday can't compare to the babies born.

Anyways, most of my income is from adsense but I still use backup planned monetization methods always be.
