Can I send Google Adwords clicks to a squeeze page?

I had a Google Adwords account banned back in the day for sending people to a salespage. They didn't tell me why, but I assume it was because there was no navigation? Though I did have the usual contact, about and privacy-policy links.

So just to clarify, am I allowed to send people to a squeeze page that doesn't have a sidebar navigation?

I find Google's policy in this issue to be kinda vague, so the experience of you folk should help clarify things a bit.

Yea had the same experience. Few others on here will no doubt be in the same boat.

It is getting very difficult for affiliates to send adwords traffic directly to a sales page or a squeeze page with google adwords.

Even if there was navigation and a privacy policy I think they would likely find other issues. I think if you want to keep using adwords, best way to do it is to send traffic to a page with a some useful content, navigation, privacy policy, etc. Then you could have a call to action that leads to a sales page or a squeeze page. The landing page would act as a pre-sell. I don't do this myself right now but I've heard of people having some good success with this in certain cases.

Personally I have moved to bing.

    Best of luck.

Yes you can, I have been using Adwords for squeeze pages and it's been working for me.
Now, how you design the squeeze pages is very specific.
If you don't want to get banned you need :
    1. To look as a unique site.
    2. You can't promote other brands but yourself.
    3. You need to have contact, privacy policy and terms and conditions pages
    4. you must not look like as a squeeze page, but rather as a business.
    Just try to look legit.
    Good luck with that.

You can also use MSN for the same thing and the clicks are cheaper

It is against their TOS to send traffic to a page whose sole purpose is to harvest information.

Google does not allow direct linking to a squeeze page if it has very little content on it. There is a certain format that they don't have a problem with. You will need to have an optin box on the top of the page, and there should be content and links to other pages on the site below. It is also good to have a contact page and privacy policy to help with getting approved. Optin rate will obviously go down by using this method, so I would recommend doing solo ads instead with a squeeze page that is built for high conversions.

      Yes, bing ad center (;

Cheaper clicks for the most part and much less anal rules.

(keeping in mind that there are many other ways to send traffic other than search PPC)

A couple of people have suggested solo ads to drive traffic. I think solo ads can be good but unless you are in the IM niche then solo ads are far less prevalent and you will have to do some good searching.

Not if it's a typical internet marketing squeeze page. I would suggest other paid traffic methods if
you want to direct link traffic to a typical squeeze page.

If you want to use Google, get ready with some good copy and content on the site. The landing
page has to have relevant content and with the proper compliance to Google's terms. However
it is possible, don't get me wrong.

    Good luck.

Short answer is no, unless you have some elaborate Privacy policy pop-up or lightbox etc.
