What this does is create a folder full of keywords that can be manually checked in the SERPs just as fast as you can click the internet Incognito shortcut icons. Your history is cleared on each new keyword search since each keyword search is a new Incognito browser session. I would still run CCleaner (free) before checking the first Incognito browser shortcut.

1) Create a folder on the desktop (PC)

2) Go to the default Chrome installation location, I'm running Windows7 my default installation location is at:
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application
3) Right click on the Chrome application icon & click Send to > Desktop, drag the new icon on the desktop into the empty folder you created in step #1.

4) Paste this file path into the Target text box (right click the browser icon & click Properties to get the popup box (screenshot below)):
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.ex e -incognito -o "http://www.whatever_domain_you_want.com"
5) Change these two things to your Windows7 user ID/Name & the URL to your Google keyword search URL:
  • your_user_name
  • http://www.whatever_domain_you_want.com

6) Test the new Incognito browser shortcut, it should load your custom URL into Chrome Incognito. If everything works fine, close the Incognito browser, then go back to the Incognito shortcut in the folder you made in step #1, right click & copy/paste a 2nd Incognito shortcut, change the web URL in the Properties > Target (text box) to the 2nd URL (http://www.whatever_domain_you_want.com).

7) Rename each of the Incognito internet shortcuts the same as your target keyword that your checking in Google Chrome Incognito web search. Then set your Windows7 folder options as Details, this way it's all organized & all you have to do is click the Incognito internet shortcut, check your keyword position, close the Incognito browser & repeat with the 2nd internet Incognito shortcut, repeat...

Once it's setup you can manually check keywords just as fast as you can click the Incognito icons in your folder on the the desktop.

I don't think I missed any steps, an example of the path that goes in the Properties > Target (text box) is attached at the bottom of this OP, don't leave out any blank spaces, all you need to change in the attached example is your_user_name to your own PC user name.

I've been checking the SERPs for my keywords manually for a while now as none of the rank checkers available seem to be completely accurate. I haven't tried this yet but it looks as if it will make things so much easier.

    Thanks for sharing.

Once everything is setup it's a lot faster when manually checking keywords, you don't have to type or copy/paste any keywords when searching. You could also create separate folders for each domain.

I don't particularly bother tracking keywords anymore (What? I hear you say!) but if you do then I think Yukon will have licked a great way to do it.

I don't check my keywords all the time, usually I can tell If something goes wrong buy watching the amount of traffic on my sites. This is still handy (IMO) because it's all organized in a folder (per domain) & automatically loads the keyword search from a fresh Incognito browser session with a single click.

You could still use this setup for creating browser shortcuts to any URL that you want to view in Incognito, just replace the Google search URL to whatever you need.
