Different data in google keyword tool vs ultimate niche finder

Hi

What do I have different data in the google keyword tool for search count when compared to that in ultimate niche finder for the same key terms.

One term in google tool says, 40,500 global and 12,100 local

The same term in ultimate niche finder says, 880 global and 320 local

I'm more inclined to trust ultimate niche finder, why? Because recently a friend of mine who ranks on page 1, position 1, for a term google says has 12000 local queries nets him about 200 clicks a month.

Can anyone provide conclusive information regard the accuracey of the google keyword tool?

Also where is ultimate niche finder getting its information from because clearly it is isn't google keyword tool (althought it does log in with my google account to fetch the data)

    @ Codecreative,

I just saw this... sorry for the delayed response, like slomo says, it's probably a broad vs. exact match type issue. I support UNF, so PM me or reply to the UNF thread if you have any other questions. Also, we use GKT for our keywords.

    Thanks!
