Linkedin: Do Profile Websites Count as a Backlink?

Just a basic question, but in the profile section of a user on linkedin do any websites they list count as backlinks?
Below is just some random linkedin profile I found off google real quick. Would the 3 sites listed in this example count as backlinks?
Lastly how does one go about increasing the page rank of their linkedin profile page? Just the usual methods of building backlinks or does the # of profile views, # of colleagues etc influence the PR for linkedin profiles?
