I think this is the one that's going to cause a lot of people who have been doing shady SEO a problem. Since watching the first video a few days ago, I had the feeling that this new Penguin 2.0 was going to be harsher on questionable/blackhat links.

Yes I agree - funny enough when he mentioned this one in the video he rolled past it pretty quickly and didn't give much detail. At 4:29 he mentions forums that spammers may hang out on and swap link packages - his quote was "its going to be an interesting summer for them".

Simply play by the rules and think twice when you buy links in stead to do them by yourself . Of course it takes much longer but it's also much safer.

I for my self like to sleep well without worry that my sites will be gone when I wake up in the morning.

Playing outside of the rules never pay's at the end.

... swap link packages - his quote was "its going to be an interesting summer for them".

It is tempting to create a link package priced at $10,000, promote hell out of it on forums and see if anyone from Google bites and buys.

That's old news. There's been several threads about this same topic during the last few days.

What are the official rules of google exactly?

I mean if I create a blog, to link to my site, can google tell that I made it?

I mean in comparison to if someone else made one about my site.

    Seems fishy.

I wonder if there really will be all that big of differences.

I'm interested to see how panda changes & evolves. It's a good update and I agree with what they're trying to achieve; but it needs a lot of tweaking/development.

Nothing ever changes from year to year. People mistake change with adapting to SEO cheaters.

The bottom line is always this:

What was crap, has always been crap, will continue to be crap.

All that changes is the ways google chooses to stop or trap that crap.

    Stop doing crap, no worries.

Ah, but there's the rub, isn't it? 99.99% of the people here constantly
think, "Gee they are stopping my crap there...so where can I get my
    crap in the backdoor? Sidedoor?"

And the funny thing is, when people keep adapting their crap, and
google cracks down, they scream at google for ruining their business!

Then they come to the WF and shout how to watch out
because google is "updating." The whole thing is friggin laughable.

Thanks, intergen; this is the first post in which I have had an opportunity to interact. I appreciate your posting this.

I am a writer of advertorials. Some Warriors had questions about this in earlier threads. Newspaper and other media websites have been crowdsourcing for several years. They allow people in the community to post their content on the media website.

For three years I have been giving seminars on how to get authority backlinks from newspaper websites. People use these to game the system.

I went through this before when the Examiner newspapers created Examiner.com. Once it became a content farm, Google started to ignore a lot of the content. Examiner started asking writers to submit newsworthy items to the editors to submit to Google.

If you would like to start submitting content to Google, search for Google Submit Your Content. If you can't find it, pm me. I've posted the link on 2 other threads and don't want to be banned.
