Thoughts On This SEO Plan Please?

I may be able to close on a potential $10k - $15k / mo SEO client here soon.

This is my first time putting together a "big time" SEO Plan / Strategy so I was hoping to get you guys' feedback... I'm typically more active on the Offliners section but felt this question would be more appropriate posted here.

The first step is for us to create a site that both converts and also engages (On Page Optimization). That is to say, eyeballs should convert to leads, but they should also hang around. Much easier said than done. One way we will approach this is by creating a forum for prospects to share ideas, successes, failures, watch videos, etc. I understand this can help increase your domain authority?

After the ever important on page optimization, the centerpiece of the plan two areas; data sharing and content creation. This client has in its palms data that can be extremely valuable to academics (.edu links), and potentially small city governments (.gov links). Additionally, the client will take to over delivering to its leads by giving them all sorts of great and actionable info in the form of blog posts, video tutorials, podcasts, etc. So we want to create whitepapers and quarterly branded reports based on "candy like" insights we glean from the data.

For example; let's say they are they have the only Apple cart in a given area, they can release profiles on the types of people that come buy their apples. This profile information may be interesting to law enforcement for example, who is looking for the "Apple Peel Killer" so they post the info, and cite the source. Extreme example, but you get the point.

So to summarize... The keys will be.

1. On page optimization.
2. User experience.
3. On page optimization.
4. User retention. --> User forum.
5. Drip feed compelling proprietary data to high authority consumers.
6. Video Creation - relentlessly... potentially releasing each blog post as a podcast, video blog post, and written blog post as well.
7. Social Search Optimization.
8. User engagement via social media.
9. Google Authorship - guest blog posting.
10. Menial / necessary / basic link building.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

    Thanks!
One thing I don't see in there is branding, and you (they) definitely need it. It can be a part of everything you've listed and maybe you already have that as part of the plan but if not, I'd add it to the list.

I was happy to see your focus on user experience. WAY too many SEO's skip that part altogether and it's one of the most important things.

Lastly, I'd definitely add in conversions/analytics.
