No follow backlinks are good to have for your link profile.
People do say it passes some value.

I like to get them just to have them anyway.

After Google's Penguin update, it is important to have quality links. Your link profile should have no follow links too. It makes your link profile look natural.

Yes, no follow link won't help in increasing the page rank or keywords ranking, it can bring in traffic.

Link from wikipedia had a great value no matter if its nofollow, Google check nofollow links and gives some weight to them as well as wikipedia always divert huge amount of traffic to a relevant webpage.

A no-follow link does not pass link juice but it contributes in increasing your site’s traffic. It is important to note that a good backlinking technique means creating links, i.e., from wiki sites with a mix of do-follow and no-follow. Having only do-follow or only no-follow will make your site looks suspicious to Google and may lead to penalty. Also, getting a link from Wikipedia is very difficult unless your website is legitimate. So, if you could get a link from Wikipedia, then it’s a great thing since it’s a quality link.

There are certain link types that carry tremendous value no matter if it's nofollow or dofollow.

Like .edu, .gov, local area authorities and Wikipedia.

That is some pretty cool link in my opinion.

Though Wikipedia links are nofollow they have the potential to bring traffic to your website. Link from Wikipedia is worth.

If the backlink you have built on Wikipedia page stays permanently, it will surely give you tremendous ranking boost. Many could ask how is that possible when Wikipedia backlinks has Nofollow attribute and Google (aka Matt Cutt) has explicitly mentioned that Nofollow links do not have any ranking influence.

Yes it is true that nofollow links do not have a ranking influence (still a debatable issue though). But when it comes to highly authority website like Wikipedia and other, link attribute does not really matter as much. Additionally that backlink may not give you huge boost in your keyword ranking. But it will definitely provide a huge boost diversifying your backlink profile. And post Penguin era that will subsequently have positive effect on your keyword ranking as well.

Though the links are nofollow, getting links from relevant and authority sites are always valuable, they can help you in diverting relevant and quality traffic for your site.
