This will ONLY work if the forum has thousands of ACTIVE users... Otherwise, you have to build backlinks to EVERY profile link in order to get it indexed (you can make it like a wheel and connect each one with your main website and then link from one profile link to another!)

The only downside to this advice, Is that if the forum does have active members. They've already marked your spam as spam and probably deleted it already.

Profile links are very hard to get indexed due to the value Google sees in it after all the algorithm changes.

I would prefer to spend my time on building blog comments or finding guest blogs instead.

There's no unique content on a profile worth Google indexing. When you don't participate in the forums, it's a meaningless entry probably done by a robot.

It's tough to keep a page like this indexed.

Stop doing that. Useless links. Your profile links are not PR anything, let alone
    a friggin 7!

For your profile links to have staying power, they must:
Be on high authority, hyper-active forums
On forums that YOU participate on a regular basis.

So, find a handful of terrific forums, and become active.

    Stop spamming profiles...

As previously said, these are crap links. By spending your time getting the harder to acquire links on authority sites, you will end up with much better results in the long run.

      Profile links in 2013?

Usually you have to wait at least ten years for something to age before an antique market pops up for it.
