just wondering, are you aloud to put affiliate ads in monetized youtube videos?
does that breach the adsense code of conduct?

    First of all, it's a moot point. Google approves every
    video for monetization, so you can't just put an ad. And I don't
    know what you mean by putting an ad in a video.

        Your talking about buying PPC Ads via Adwords to allow your coupon to show up as an Adsense Ad inside the video. I'm 83% sure that will get an Adwords account banned (affiliate doorway page).

      can't just do anything you want with a youtube video.

      If the video is an ad, well, more power to you.

      If you somehow put an ad in a video, again, more power to you.
      But that's hard to put a real, clickable ad in a youtube video
      to an outside url other than youtube.

      If you mean adwords, well, then why are you not trying it
      to find out if google allows your ads to be displayed in videos?
      Best place would be adwords help guide, tos, etc.

      You can't just place an ad in a video.

        I am not running an adwords campain. I want to have youtube ads show up on the video and also my own ads(without links) inside of the video.

        I do not want to put a clickable ad, I want to put an ad that just gives you information the same as an ad would on TV.

        Sorry if I have explained this wrong or confusing.

          Then I have no idea what your trying to do, because Adsense/Adwords are the only Ads inside a Youtube video.

          Sorry if I have explained this wrong or confusing.
          What you can do is verify your YT account and then apply for the partner program.
          Once you are approved, you can add clickable links to external web sites, but first you must add that website under settings tab. That feature is only to partners members.
          Now, if you want to display ads before the video plays itself, you can do that using adwords, but in-slate format will be terminated on Jun 1th though.
          Link your Youtube account to your Adword account and for adwords for videos you can choose what type of add you want to be displayed and choose it.

          If you are a partner, remember to unlist your video for the partner program as you can customize every video you upload to youtube if you are going to promote THAT video using adwords for videos.

          For the clickable links there is a great WSO I recommend. Search here for the Video guy and check his threads, or send me a PM and I'll send you the name of the WSO.

    Yes. As long as the video is yours...or you own the video rights. You'll have to get editing software to splice in your ad, but just like adding credits or text to a video.
