Hello guys. I have a question.
If i copy for example a game description (100-150 words) from a high-rated website (Wikipedia or the official website of the game) and put the copied part to my website, if i put Source: website after the taken part Google will ban/penalize me?
And the format is written well, i mean source: website ? And i need to put this code immediately after the copied part or at the end of the article? (notice that i will have about 300 unique words besides the game description part)

  • I see no problem with this, many authority sites do just that. Wikipedia itself contains lots of information that is copied from other sites, you'll notice that they always cite it in sources that they link to at the end of each wiki.
  • And in how format i need to put? Immediately after the copied part (to put the source: website) or at the end of the article?
  • There is no penalty in this, perfectly fine
  • You're doing good, there is no issue with that.
Keep doing till everything goes fine.
  • giving credit to the source is fine.. but the main problem is the copyright infringement, you should sent emails asking permission to use their contents.
  • You should be fine as long as you give credit to original content source
