    I would recommend Bulletproof Security

Many of my clients are using it, so far so good, no issues. Anyhow, my clients always make sure that they are with LATEST version of wordpress itself.

I think you meant Better Wordpress Security. There are some flaws in that one. For example, you cannot shutoff some warnings even though the control panel says you can.

Anyway, I discovered Wordfence Security about 4 months ago and it has been working great for me. Better than the others I tried anyway.

The free package covers all a typical wordpress site needs.

        Hey fortony,

Do tell. What warnings do Better WP Security present that they claim you can shut off in the control panel/dashboard? I've been using it almost a year and have never seen such a flaw. The dashboard has always worked the same way since I had it and the interface gives you the option of hardening a rule using red, green, blue text legend which indicates the degree of security and the possible adverse affect it may have on your blog if enabled.

If you are referring to file change alerts, you can disable it and it has worked for me just fine.

Wordfence is also a really good plugin, but my own experience was that performance wise it adversely affected performance in shared hosting environments and I didn't find this to be the case with Better WP Security installed on my sites. Nonetheless, Wordfence is a real nice product and you really can't go wrong with it...just not my preferred security plugin for WP.

Wordfence also provides email updates which can be a plus. I've used bulletproof security in the past as well.

I think either one of these tools is ok to run; don't get too caught up with the minor plug-in differences.
