Multiple 301 redirects to the same domain

Has anyone personally experimented with multiple 301 redirects to the same domain name?

Obviously the PR is not additive, but do the extra redirects to the same domain help?

I have a few PR3s that I want to play with.

Multiple redirects can increase the load time of the page or site. If you have redirected from a->b->c->d. Better it is advisable to do like this a->d, b->d, c->d

Thanks, but I don't mean chaining, I mean:

      x >> a
      y >> a
      z >> a

The way you have chosen is right, the authority and the page rank of the domain x, y and z will be added to a.

My experience is that you will get maybe 50% of the rank and also som higher trust when 301 redirect. But that it will decrease over time. It would be better to put 20-30 pages of relevant content and put a total of 3-6 links to your site from some of the pages.

It is now said that 301 redirects doesn't dilute page rank:Google: PageRank Dilution Through A 301 Redirect Is A Myth

Yes, it helps but at a diminishing value.

I just bought a PR4 and I want to do the same thing... Not really sure which way to go with it. I'm not sure how Google hasn't caught on to this yet.
