Global 301 Redirects after Site Redesign

Hi All,

I'm in the process of redesigning a website for a law firm and the new website is using Wordpress CMS. The URL's on the old site were all ".asp". The content on the new site is exactly the same as the content on the old site, with the addition of a few new pages. I've also consolidated some pages, eliminating the pages on the old website.

Once the design is done and we're ready to launch, I know I need to redirect the old URL's to the new ones. My question is if I can do a Global 301 redirect, or if I need to run a report in Link Sleuth and then manually do the redirects, because some pages on the old site won't be on the new site and I'll need to redirect them to the appropriate pages.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Also, as a follow-up, what happens to the inbound links if I do a redirects? Will the 301's take care of that? Thanks.
