Hi,

My site was in top 5 for a good keyword but in last few days, I am noticing that my site is going down and now it has reached 18th position(10 position dropped in last 3-4 days). I got good position after making backlinks on high pr article directories. Perhaps, I should make backlinks again but I am very confused how to make backlinks? I know that blog comments are not good idea after recent penguin update. I know below methods for backlinks but all have problem mentioned by experts so I am afraid to do any campaign:

1) Article directories
Some say that they are worthless while other say that they worth if article is with high quality content(unique) and submitted in relevant category. If it worth then why not to use atuo aricle posting software on regular interval for regular backlinks? Please guide on it!!

2) Guest blog
Many experts say that guest blogs are good for seo but how to find good blogs. Can it work if I find blogs which clearly welcome guest posts in Menus or on home page? What can happen if I do 50 guest blogs and out of 10 are in network?

3) Web 2.0
Many experts say that it is worthless!!

4) How many backlinks we can make per day ??

Please guide me, I need help.

Thanks

Completely forget about backlinks, and focus as much energy as possible into making steller content that encourages social sharing. You want to prove to Google that your website isn't just pound scum and that your website actually adds value online.

Totally agree with J50, nowadays Google gives more value to creating high quality quality content that encourages social sharing rather creating bunch of links that adds no value.

Divide strategy with 3 part 1st for on page 2nd for off page and 3rd for social media and also change working timing try to engage website with different timing

Article aren't that much. But it is a factor for Google to rank your website. But I suggest don't just focus on article marketing alone. If you are going to do article marketing then it should be based on quantity.

Focus on creating Social Signal if you want to rank faster. Social signal are signal coming from social site such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. I suggest you join a content syndication sites such as Triberr, or maybe you can sign-up for an account on Social ADR

Those are just attempts to game social signals. Why bypass simulating link popularity just to simulate social value?

Even better. Build the best possible website and let Google sort it out. They claim it's possible.

    OP,

Don't just do one thing like article directories or guest posts. You're SEO campaign should have many different levels. Blog comments(RELEVANT comments on RELEVANT blogs), guest posts in other sites of your niche, directories, web 2.0.

See what your competition is doing in your niche to get some sort of idea, then copy/do a better job than them.

I agree with technics. You need to do all of those things you listed to have an overall solid increase. The number 1 in search engines are always being talked about as well, make your website worth being talked about/linked to.

Improve user interaction on your website and try building Fan bases for your blog on different social media sites. Then drive traffic through them, this will obviously increase your backlinks and seo as people will share the content naturally.

Honestly saying nothing would be fruitful for next few days at least because your site got hit by penguin 2.0 and you are not alone here.

Wait and see the current trend and once you understand how it is working then you can start building link from the scratch.

it does not matter how many links are you building per day, what matters is how many quality backlinks you are building. A powerful contextual backlink from a reputed, authority site can give you much better result than having hundred of software made spammy links.

..let's start with a very simple plan..

Start building high quality content for your site. Write some good quality articles on a regular basis and make sure the articles are very informative.

Side by side, target some high PR, popular relevant sites and try to get backlinks from there. You can go for guest posting.

if you have enough budget then you should build your own network of high PR sites and use it for building good backlinks and I am sure you will get to see positive result.
