Penguin Parties - WTF??

I have a friend who was waiting, hoping, wishing and praying for this Penguin to arrive. He's a lawyer who was getting hammered in search. His strategy was just to stay the course and not cheat - do nothing - till now.

LOCAL searches for lawyer {his geo} yields nothing but government driven page 1 results. Even half of the 7 pack listings are government. The rest of the page is Avvo and government. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

He called me today, ecstatic! About a dozen newly minted lawyers (bar certified) celebrated Penguin well into the night last night. Over pints they discussed things like... blogging, helping the poor, doing charity, filing more junk lawsuits, etc. to get more press --> high quality back links... The type of links Matt Cuts' would marry if they were human.

His call made my day. I wonder how many other Penguin Parties have popped up.

      Nope. New lawyer who doesn't want to get a job at a firm, and rather have Google refer him cases. Google killed all the big firms in his area.

    We have no idea. All we know is that whatever the number is the number of bad Penguin threads popping up exceeds it.
