using google image is it good or allowed

i just want to know if making use of Google images or pics is acceptable by Google and is not against their policies because i did a search on a key word "diamond rings" then when i went to google image to get image to use what i saw really surprise me a lot of site have been banned for using image related to this key word that is why am asking if it is against their policy you can view it here

  • Google doesn't care at all which pictures are you using, but pictures owner do. Make sure those pictures aren't copyrighted or ask for permission before using them.

    edit: DMCA reports are more for stolen content I guess, but there's a chance you can get hurt with pictures too. Anyway as I told you above this is stealing, with google or without it, ask for permission first - always.

  • If you are going to use public domain images, it is wise to rename them before putting them on you web site.
