trying to increase CTR.

without giving away my site I'm trying to increase CTR.

one keyword has a 20% CTR with 4,400 SPM.
another keyword has a 9% CTR with 27,000 SPM.

I think keyword one is doing great, but the 27,000 SPM keyword has a 9% CTR.

here's the kicker, it's the same keyword, but the reverse of the first keyword, but it's getting a lesser CTR.

my titles look like

Title
KEYWORD - DESCRIPTION / POST TITLE

Description:
Click here to learn more about keyword

I think I should put the keyword closer to the beginning of the description.

FYI: forgot to mention I'm ranked #1 for both keywords so that's why I'm looking at the CTR.

People are over looking reverse keywords I think.

For Example

keyword 1 + keyword 2

keyword 2 + keyword 1

both keywords are the same technically but get different types of searches + more volume.

No one is going to be able to answer this for you without knowing anything about your site/niche.

You're just going to have to split test and find out what works as every site is different.

You're talking CTR from the search page to your site right? I would think that the lower CTR could be partly due to searchers realizing they typed the keyword in reverse and correcting it instead of clicking on one of the results.
