when I first gained interest in internet marketing, I tried many. most of those automated tools are crap.

have you used those tools, or are you just saying which you think are best by their sales letters 'n crap?

most of the keyword tools have faults, I've tried many and ended up liking google keyword tool best. most of them use the data from it anyhow, and I'd rather figure out my own competition analysis instead of having their 'formula' tell me yes or no.

scrapebox is nice for research also, you'll need to pay for proxies to make it work smoothly though. I've never used its posting features.

i guess it all depends on your intent.

There are some effective tools, one of them will be released in few days. If you use properly the automatic submission software can be very effecting for boosting your website, after that you just have to take care about your website and promoting continuously using all the ways.
I'm using for years auto-submission software and never failed.

SenukeXcr is really good if you can use it with a smart strategy. BUT still I would prefer to use manual link building techniques instead of automated SEO or link building tools.

My favorite tool is called: MANUAL LINKBUILDING // Why don't you do it alone... Yes, you can still use some softwares like ScrapeBox and Senuke (but ONLY to get websites to post your comments.. and backlinks... but do NOT use them to build backlinks, because they will create spammy links and could even damage your website...

Hey Guys! I'm still fairly new to SEO, and although I know the fundamentals and most of what works and what doesn't, I still have a lot to learn, particularly how to take advantage and full use of various tools. I currently am using MOZ Pro, along with my Google Webmaster Tools to manage and monitor my SEO, but am looking to invest in some other SEO tools to learn and build with. I've liste a few tools below, and would like it if you guys could share some more tools that you use, and also any review you may have of the listed software/sites.

    1.) Majestic SEO

If anyone could, please let me know how Majestic compares to MOZ, if I have MOZ is Majestic worth a try, or one over the other?

    2.) Scrapebox

I've seen this tool around, although I don't really understand its full use yet, from what I've gathered it is helpful in automating backlinks and also in searching them out and gathering data. I am curious as to if this tool is still useful with the current updates penalizing automated links. Otherwise is it still useful for finding links to do manually? Worth the investment?

    3.) SEO Powersuite

This one is pricey, but I've read alot of good things about it. Please let me know if you've used it, found it useful, and if its worth the price.

    4.) Ahrefs

From what I understand this site has alot more detailed link reports than MOZ Open Site Explorer has. Of all these I am most definitely considering this one from what I've seen

These are just a few I've seen, anymore suggestions would be much appreciated. Also if you can describe the features you've found most useful in your experience, I'd appreciate that as well.

Hi Guys! First off thank you all for your answers, I really appreciate them! I already use Yoast SEO Plugin, and have found it extremely helpful and useful. Primarily in this thread I'd like to focus on software/web site tools outside of plugins. I will definitely have to check out Raventools, also if anyone can compare Majestic to Moz for me that would be awesome! As well I'd also like anybody with experience using Scrapebox to let me know if it is worth a purchase, especially now that Google is more restrictive on backlinks.(So not sure if that killed alot of scrapebox features)

Moz, if you are talking about Opensite Explorer, mostly stinks. It has the smallest link database of the major backlink providers (Ahrefs, Majestic, SpyGlass, and WebMeUp). So if you want to find as many backlinks as possible for a site, Moz does not cut it. I've always found Ahrefs to consistently find the most backlinks for sites. Now and then there is a site where Majestic finds more.

Really, to get a complete detailed analysis of a site's backlinks, use them all. Download all the links and import them into SpyGlass for analysis.

As for Scrapebox, great tool. Waste of time for building backlinks, especially if you are taking on clients of your own. Blog comments, to me, are junk for links. Has a ton of other great uses though.

btw, I think Moz is really overrated as far as their actual products go.
They also spread a lot of misinformation about seo, but their support community is far better than any other seo resource for asking advice.
